Announcing the Omens: A Narrative Analysis Series

Some moments in fantasy roleplaying last longer than a single scene. A spell is cast. A dragon lands. Something changes. The Omens: A Narrative Analysis series is about what comes next.

Each book in the series takes one iconic spell or creature and treats it as a narrative event. Not a tactic. Not a rule. A moment that alters memory, reshapes intention, and lingers in the world long after the action resolves. The series is system-agnostic and fully narrative. It is built to support any campaign that treats story as a consequence of character choice.

The first three titles are now available:

  • Fireball Omens explores the moment of casting and the aftermath it leaves behind

  • Healing Omens centers on recovery, memory, and what healing actually changes

  • Gold Omens treats gold dragons as cultural forces whose presence becomes story

Each volume includes narrative framing, character archetypes, story complications, worldbuilding prompts, and adventure hooks. The goal is to give storytellers a way to slow the moment down and carry it forward. What happened matters. What happens next matters more.

These tools can shape backstory. They can deepen improvisation. They can reframe scenes you already thought were finished. They are not about complexity. They are about clarity.

If you want to tell stories where magic means something, where dragons are remembered, and where the world reacts to what it’s seen, you can begin here.

All current titles are available in the Lightspress Shop. More are coming soon.
