Arcane power reshapes social order by altering who may act with authority, who must answer for action, and how restraint is enforced once boundaries are crossed. This section guides the gamemaster’s decisions when magic appears in play as a force that demands response. Every visible use of arcane power asserts a claim over people, spaces, or outcomes. Social order answers that claim by recognizing it, limiting it, or suppressing it. Stability persists only through restraint, and restraint always carries consequence.

Magic functions as pressure within society. It accelerates change, exposes fault lines, and forces institutions to react. Arcane action is treated as socially legible behavior that alters expectations. Power enters existing systems of legitimacy, fear, trust, and enforcement. Each use of magic narrows future options and clarifies who holds authority once the scene resolves.
