As ratings climb, television executives, advertisers, civic organizations, and academic institutions compete to control the meaning and influence of the program before its effects spread further into homes, schools, and workplaces. Inspired by the themes and social tensions of Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus, this original scenario explores institutional sexism, public education, media pressure, and the instability created when ordinary people begin questioning the systems organizing their lives.
