Lightspress Summer Release Schedule
Over the past several months, I’ve spent a lot of time figuring out what belongs at Lightspress and what doesn’t. That process has included adapting my workflows to my executive dysfunction while building a publishing structure that reflects the work I’m actually doing. What I’ve come up with is a combination of project journals, setting development, catalog restoration, and new creative work. Rather than scattering those projects across multiple sites, I’ve decided to keep them together here. Going forward, Lightspress will follow the schedule below.
Working Notes
Monday through Friday: Working Notes are informal blog posts about my work in progress. They cover current writing projects, personal curricula, books I’m reading, films I’m watching, publishing projects, and the daily realities of working with my executive dysfunction. Some entries will focus on specific projects. Others will explore the systems, habits, failures, and adjustments involved in maintaining a creative life when continuity, task sequencing, and attention span can’t be taken for granted.
Harbor Street
Alternate Tuesdays: Harbor Street is a small New England seaside town shaped by old families, local institutions, and personal history. It’s got romance, mystery, and a touch of dark academia. The project explores the lives of the people who inhabit the town, along with the relationships, ambitions, conflicts, and secrets that connect them. New installments will be released in the shop twice each month in PDF and EPUB formats.
Seven Valleys
Alternate Tuesdays: Seven Valleys is a cozy fantasy setting centered on villages, trade routes, local traditions, seasonal festivals, and small communities connected to the surrounding landscape. While everyday life remains central to the setting, old stories, forgotten places, and stranger things still linger beyond the edges of the map. New installments will be released in the shop twice each month in PDF and EPUB formats.
Catalog Refresh Titles
Thursdays: The Lightspress catalog contains more than a decade of work, much of it written under very different circumstances and for a very different audience. Catalog Refresh titles revisit that material through revision, expansion, new covers, additional content, and updated presentation. Some releases will be modest updates. Others will involve substantial rewriting and reorganization. New refresh titles will be released in the shop as PDF and EPUB editions.
