Working Notes 06: Realignment

The structure has mostly settled into a clearer long-term form. There will always be fine-tuning required, because that’s the way of things. I’ve tried to stabilize and future-proof so that there won’t be as much vulnerability to catastrophic upheavals, like a major publisher pulling their licensing, throwing third-party publishers into a frenzy, or a large platform altering their terms of service so certain types of content is no longer supported.

Patreon: early-access narrative roleplaying downloads, and the archive for a monthly fee

Substack: the central body of work, with articles and paid content

Website: archive, articles, and storefront

New releases, including scenarios, move through a fixed staggered release window. Patreon first, Substack a week later, Website a month later. Free posts on Substack are mirrored to the website. This overall structure supports continuity and sustainability. If one side collapses, the whole business doesn’t fall apart.

Daily Update

Messages about Story at the Table have gone out to YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Bluesky, Threads, Facebook, Itch, Ko-fi, RPGnet, and ENworld. Don’t expect to find me at any of those places on a regular basis; I will drop a short message or a link daily, but I will admit up front it’s a dump-and-run for SEO. The places named above are were I’ll be. Monitoring anything else would be too overwhelming for me right now.
