The Last Manifesto
Some names serve their purpose and then step aside. This is the last issue of The Manifesto.
Next Tuesday, the newsletter continues under a new name: The Lighthouse. Nothing changes for subscribers. The rhythm stays weekly. The focus remains the same. But the structure has evolved, and the title needs to reflect that.
The Manifesto was built to take a stand. It helped define the voice of Lightspress during a time when clarity meant refusing noise, platforms, and urgency. But that refusal has solidified into a steady architecture. The work no longer needs to be a protest. It needs to guide.
The Lighthouse will publish every Tuesday.
Odd weeks will focus on releases, new titles, updated editions, and catalog movement.
Even weeks will offer in-depth explorations of genre, format, narrative function, and design.
Fifth Tuesdays (when they appear) will reflect on the work itself, progress, shifts, structure, intent.
The voice remains the Architect. The ethics hold. The signal strengthens.
You don’t need to resubscribe. You don’t need to take any action. The beam just changes shape.
Next week begins The Lighthouse. Until then, thank you for reading The Manifesto. Every issue was a stone in the foundation. What comes next builds from it.
